Attendees of NTCA’s Art Glass Panel Installation program will experience an advanced training program where they will learn about glass of many types and will gain the knowledge, ability and confidence to understand, handle, fabricate and install very large art glass panels to create custom installations on walls in interior wet and dry areas using a direct bond adhesive method following manufacturer instructions.

Class size is restricted to 16 registrants. Preferably a minimum of two people from one company.  NTCA Five-Star Contractor members have preferred registration and must be logged in to register.

Duration: 2-day training

Time: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm daily unless otherwise specified

Prequalifications:  At least 2 years experience as a tile installer including all primary installation areas of layout; troweling; mixing; grouting; cutting; scoring; snapping; drilling; etc.  Experience with gauged porcelain panels is a plus but not required.


PPE /Safety Requirements/Tools:

  • Each attendee must bring their own PPE including kneepads, level 4 cut-resistant glove, and safety glasses.
  • Attendees must be willing to adhere to all training safety requirements, be competent with basic and advanced tile installation tools and equipment and able to work with dry-set powder and epoxy adhesives.
  • Attendees must come ready for work in both a classroom and hands-on environment.
  • All tools and materials will be provided.
Breakfast/Lunch: Light breakfast and lunch will be provided on both training days.
 
Note: The program is free to attend however there is a $50 refundable deposit (refunded within 7 days after you have attended the class) to hold your place. All attendees must pay their own travel and lodging expenses and make their own arrangements.
 
Attendees who fully complete all course requirements will be eligible for manufacturer certification for Art Glass Panel installation and will be placed on a preferred installer / contractor list.
