Tile can be a beautiful lasting statement when it is in the hands of a true craftsperson. NTCA has created an award to celebrate those in the field utilizing their in-depth knowledge of the tile methods and standards and exhibiting dedication to and artistic execution of our craft.

The NTCA Tile Setter Craftsperson of the Year award recognizes two NTCA members – one residential and one commercial. Nominees should be: 

• Proven to be invaluable in the field due to their outstanding installations
• Capable of solving problems on the job
• Passionate and actively engaged in continual self-improvement
• Leading and/or mentoring others
• Devoted to the art of setting tile
  

To be considered, tile setters must have been setting tile for a minimum of 15 years and still setting tile today as part of their job and be a member of the NTCA or work for the member company. The award recipient will win a trip to The International Surface Event (TISE) in Las Vegas, Nevada and the award will be presented at the Ambassador Reception the night before the show opens.
